BREWTON, AL - The Brewton Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of a new family practice physician to the Brewton medical community. Scott Moore, M.D. will begin his practice as a member of the Brewton Medical Center in July of 2015.

"Dr. Moore is a great addition to the Brewton medical community," said Tommy Shehan, administrator for the Brewton Medical Center. "We are excited to be able to offer another physician for the patients in our community."

Dr. Moore joins the Brewton Medical Center after recently serving patients in the Jay and Century communities as a staff physician for Baptist Health Care. In addition, Dr. Moore is a staff physician at Century Medical Center and Jay Hospital. Prior to practicing in Jay and Century, Dr. Moore worked as medical director in a rural health clinic in Winchester, KY for 10 years.

Dr. Moore received his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in 1998 and completed his Family Medicine Residency training at Dayton Community Family Medicine in Dayton, OH.

"I am happy we were able to bring Dr. Moore to the Brewton area," said Shehan. "Dr. Moore brings experience and knowledge that will be a great addition to our medical community."

Dr. Moore will begin seeing patients at the Brewton Medical Center on July 8, 2015. We hope that everyone will welcome him to our community and help him feel at home. New patients will be able to schedule an appointment by contacting the Brewton Medical Center at (251)-867-6071.
