Continuing Education
Continuing education is offered periodically. Topics are selected by discipline and scope of practice (i.e. nursing, social work, respiratory therapy).
Nursing Education
A large number of CEU classes are available at no cost for nursing employees.
All American Heart Certification Courses (ACLS, PALS and BLS) are taught three to four times each year.
LINC - Contact Classes funded by the Escambia County Healthcare Authority.
Scholarship Program
In coordination with Jefferson Davis Community College, D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital works to provide scholarships to nursing students with a focus on healthcare education. Applications are taken every January.

Dietary Education
The Wellness program is a community program that provides balanced and nutritious meals, seven days a week. Diets offered include: low sodium, diabetic, and regular meals.
A registered dietitian is available in house and provides nutritional counseling for a wide variety of medical conditions. A physician referral must be obtained to provide counseling.
