GP Donates Art to Hospital

BREWTON, AL - Georgia-Pacific, LLC. has made a donation of artwork to D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital. The artwork presented by Georgia-Pacific, was created by their employees and the Foundation for Hospital Art in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since 1984, the Foundation for Hospital Art has donated over 40,000 paintings to over 4,000 hospitals in 195 countries. D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital is the latest recipient.
"Georgia-Pacific is delighted to share this artwork with patients at D.W. McMillan Hospital. We hope that it will positively impact all who see it,"" said Suzanne Anderson, GP public affairs manager.
"The paintings donated will be placed in the pediatric and obstetrical departments of the hospital and we are also hoping to be able to place on of the pieces in the pediatric exam room in the new Emergency Department once it is completed" said Chris Griffin, Hospital administrator. "We appreciate this donation and look forward to seeing patient reactions."
Three sectional paintings were donated by Georgia-Pacific. There are 20 kits available that can be viewed at www.hospitalart.org if anyone is interested in painting additional art.
