D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital Has Named Sheila Bondurant Emergency Department (ER) Nurse Manager

Brewton, AL – D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital announced that Sheila Bondurant, RN has been selected as the Emergency Department (ER) Nurse Manager. In her new position, she will be responsible for coordinating between ER physicians, D.W. McMillan staff physicians and the hospital ER nursing staff. She will assume the role from Regina Watson, RN who is retiring from her position as manager but will stay on as a staff nurse.

“Sheila has been dedicated to D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital for over 30 years and is a wonderful addition to our management group,” stated Stacy Hines, Hospital Administrator. “Sheila will lead the Emergency Department in ensuring that the highest quality of care is provided to our community. She will be an asset to our nursing management team,” stated LeAnne Rowell, Director of Nursing.

Sheila is a graduate of Jefferson Davis Community College Nursing program as well as Reid State Technical College’s LPN program. Sheila joined D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in August of 1989 where she started as a Unit Secretary. Sheila has also worked as house supervisor and in the Med-Surg and ICU departments. Sheila is an ACLS and PALS instructor and has been serving as the Assistant ER Nurse Manager for the last several years.

“We are very thankful to Regina for over 44 years of dedication to D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse,” stated Hines. “She will continue to help in the ER on an as needed basis.”
