William Farmer Joins Brewton Medical Community

BREWTON, AL - The Brewton Medical Center and D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital are pleased to announce the addition of a new physician to the Brewton medical community. William Farmer, M.D. will begin his practice as a member of the Brewton Medical Center in July of 2014.
"Dr. Farmer is a great addition to the Brewton medical community," said Tommy Shehan, administrator for the Brewton Medical Center. "We are excited to be able to offer another physician for the patients in our community."
Dr. Farmer joins the Brewton Medical Center after recently serving patients in the Evergreen Community as an emergency room physician at Evergreen Medical Center. Prior to practicing in Evergreen, Dr. Farmer worked as an emergency room physician in multiple hospitals in rural Alabama. Dr. Farmer also served as an internal medicine physician at Lloyd Noland Hospital in Fairfield, Ala. for seventeen years.
Dr. Farmer received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi - School Of Medicine in 1980 and completed his Internal Medicine residency training from Lloyd Nolan Hospital and UAB - Montgomery Baptist South. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Farmer also holds a Jurist Doctorate in Law from Birmingham School of Law, where he graduated in 1991. Dr. Farmer is also board certified in internal medicine.
"I am happy we were able to bring Dr. Farmer to the Brewton area," Chris Griffin, administrator at D.W. McMillan said. "Dr. Farmer brings experience and knowledge that will be a great addition to our medical community."
