County Healthcare Authority Opens Building

BREWTON, AL - The Escambia County Healthcare Authority completes its newest professional office building in Brewton Medical Center Complex. The new professional office building is the new home of Surgical Associates of South Alabama, which is the general surgery practice of Dr. Thomas Boshell and Dr. Craig Peterson.

The new physician's office building is approximately 3,800 square feet and features space for six (6) new exam rooms and enough space to accommodate three (3) general surgeons.

"We are excited that the new building is complete and the practice is open," chairman, Ruth Harrell said. "The Healthcare Authority is very pleased with the way the building turned out and the positive responses we have received so far from the community."

The building is located at 1123 Belleville Ave, which is directly across the parking lot from the existing Brewton Medical Center. Surgical Associates of South Alabama provides general surgical services to patients in Brewton and surrounding communities.

"It has been a long process, but we are ready to serve the citizens of this community for many more years," Dr. Thomas Boshell stated. "We are very happy with the partnership with the Escambia County Healthcare Authority and thank them for helping us complete the project."
