BREWTON, AL - Derek Jackson has been named the business office director of D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital. The business office is responsible for patient billing and accounts, as well as, patient registration.

"We are happy to welcome Derek to D.W. McMillan Hospital," Chris Griffin, D.W. McMillan Hospital administrator said. "Derek will be leading a team of skilled employees that work with patients, day in and day out, to help them with the financial side of health care."

Jackson joins D.W. McMillan after recently serving as the patient access and patient financial services director at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma, Ala. Jackson has worked at West Florida Hospital, HCA Shared Services and several regional banks.

"I am excited to start my new position with D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital," stated Jackson. "I am passionate about helping people deal with financial stress that is associated with medical expenses and procedures."

Derek earned his bachelor's in finance from the University of South Alabama. He has also been involved in community organizations, including the Pace, Fla. Chamber of Commerce. Derek and his wife, Jennifer, live in Cantonment with their three children.
